Workington Reds boss Darren Edmondson has admitted responsibility for the manner of their 1-0 defeat to Burscough at Borough Park on Tuesday.

"We should have been up for this game and no one can fault the attitude we've shown," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"Regarding application, if it's not there that's up to me.

"I've got to hold my hands up and say perhaps I didn't get them going enough at half-time. Those who are shouting things at me, I take that on the chin."
