Lowestoft Town have confirmed that ticket sales for their FA Vase final at Wembley have topped the 5,000 mark.

The Trawler Boys face Kirkham & Wesham on Sunday, 11 May and have been allocated 15,212 tickets in the national stadium's West Stand.

Chairman Geoff Price said: "By the end of Saturday we had sold 4,316 tickets. That was in seven and a half hours.

"I just had a phone call on the way down [to Wembley] and we've now passed the 5,000 mark already."

The club will continue to take ticket applications between 1900 and 2200 BST on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Crown Meadow.
