Mick Fuller's Kirkham & Wesham aim for Wembley |
Kirkham & Wesham boss Mick Fuller has no idea when and where his side's FA Vase run is going to end but is urging his players to get to Wembley. Saturday's 1-0 win over Coventry Sphinx in the quarter-finals of the FA Vase put the Fylde club within 180 minutes of reaching the final.
They play Suffolk outfit Needham Market in the semi-finals over two legs.
"Conditions were not good with the wind but we've done a job, " Fuller told BBC Radio Lancashire.
Fuller admitted it was a nervous second-half following Sean Paterson's goal, especially with four minutes of injury-time:
"It wasn't clever on the touchline. We had plenty of uncomfortable moments. They put some wicked balls under our crossbar in the second-half which we defended really well."

The club have not been beaten since November, a sequence of 17 games in all competitions, and Fuller wants to keep the run going for as long as possible:
"It's a great opportunity. I said we'd be ok as long as we could stay clear of Whitley Bay. Maybe somebody's looking down on us and saying 'go on, have a go'.
"The number one priority is we don't lose the first leg. Who knows where it's going to end? Everyone's enjoying it. It's great."
