Whitley Bay are just one game away from a trip to Wembley after their 1-0 FA Vase quarter-final win against Hungerford Town on Saturday. It took a goal on 48 minutes from midfielder Paul Robinson to settle the tie and he was delighted to help the club progress into the last four.
He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "It was a scrappy game. I've just got a yard in the box and lashed it into the corner.
"It was a nice feeling and I'm glad we held on to win."
Villa Park was the venue for Whitley Bay's last success in the FA Vase back in 2002, and player-manager Ian Chandler was the goalscorer in a 1-0 win over Tipford United.
