Newport County have opted to release five players, including club captain John Brough. The other four are striker Dean Holdsworth, midfielders Tyrone Topper and Ashley Williams, and defender Stewart Edwards.
However, former Cardiff and Barry Town centre-back Lee Jarman, 29, has joined from relegated Weston-super-Mare.
Midfielder Lee Fowler, who arrived on loan from Burton Albion in March, has also agreed a permanent deal.
