The recently appointed Fairclough has chosen a 16-man party for an Under-23 friendly international against Belgium in Ostend on 11 February. And among the prospective new caps are Dagenham and Redbridge defender Paul Terry, brother of Chelsea's John, and leading Conference scorer Junior Agogo of Barnet. "Junior is young, raw and vibrant but to score 16 times this season shows he is in great form, and I am looking forward to working with him," said Fairclough. Former Stevenage Borough boss Fairclough has replaced John Owens as the new national coach. He has the Belgium game and an open-age friendly against Holland to plan with ahead of the Home Internationals in the summer. He added: "Winning games is always important but the next two friendlies are more about performance, letting the players know how I like to play and what I expect from them. "With Wales hoping to stage the second Four Nations Tournament in May, we have a goal to work towards. "And in Ostend the players will come up against some of the most promising young players in Belgium, a great learning experience." England National Game XI squad: Craig Mawson (Morecambe), Chris Weale (Yeovil); Greg Oates (Margate), Adam Lockwood (Yeovil), Jonathon Boardman (Woking), Martin Lancaster (Leigh RMI), Michael Rose (Hereford); Lee Johnson (Yeovil), Darren Way (Yeovil), Paul Terry (Dagenham & Redbridge), Wayne Purser (Barnet), David Pounder (Scarborough); Ian Fitzpatrick (Halifax), Ryan Sugden (Chester City), Robert Gill (Doncaster), Junior Agogo (Barnet). | Top Eng Conf stories now: Links to more Eng Conf stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
