Didier Drogba will lead Ivory Coast in the game against Benin in Accra

Ivory Coast and Libya's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this weekend have been moved to neutral venues because of the upheaval in the two countries.

The Elephants will now clash with Benin in Ghana while Libya take on The Comores in Mali in their Group C game.

Ivory Coast were originally scheduled to host their Group H game in Abidjan.

But the ongoing post-election violence in Ivory Coast has forced the game to be played in Accra's Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday.

"Ivory Coast will play their Nations Cup qualifier against Benin in Accra," Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told BBC Sport.

"We have agreed to host the game in Accra because of the security situation after the Ivorian FA officials approached us.

"They are our brothers and we are ready to assist them to play their qualifiers in our country whenever they need us."

Ivory Coast will be seeking to extend their lead at the top of Group H when they clash with Benin.

The Elephants are top of the group with maximum six points after two matches.

Second-placed Benin have four points, Burundi are third with one point while Rwanda have no points.

Libya's clash with The Comoros will be played in Bamako on Monday because of the intense fighting between rebels and forces loyal to President Muammar Gaddafi.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast's U23 will host Liberia in their Olympic Games qualifier in the same Accra stadium on Sunday, serving as a curtain-raiser to the Elephants game.

A bitterly disputed election result is pulling the country apart and has left the West African country divided.

Ivorian clubs have also had their continental matches disrupted by the political standoff at home.
