The Champions League second round clash between Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast and Zimbabwe's Motor Action will now be decided over one leg.
The decision was taken by the Confederation of African Football due to the political crisis in Ivory Coast.
A bitterly disputed election result is pulling the country apart and has left the West African country divided.
With Motor Action hosting Asec in Harare this weekend, the return leg was scheduled for Abidjan in a fortnight.
But the Harare match will now decide who goes through to the next round.
Two other Ivorian teams have had their continental matches disrupted by the political standoff at home.
JCA Treichville, and Ittihad of Libya have been ordered to play their Champions League tie on neutral ground.
Caf said the two teams have until 21 March to reach an agreement.
Africa Sports and USFA of Burkina Faso and will also have their tie decided over 90 minutes in Ouagadougou.
