None of the four semi-finalists have ever won the African U17 title
Burkina Faso take on Congo Brazzaville in the semi-final of the African U17 championship in Rwanda on Tuesday.
The Burkinabe finished top of their qualifying group, thanks to their 4-0 victory over Egypt last Friday, while Congo finished second in their group.
Both teams have already qualified for the U17 World Cup in Mexico in June.
"Our first objective was to be in the World Cup, now there's only one goal left; to win the cup", Burkinabe coach Pedro Lima told BBC Sport.
"The kids are very motivated and each game they get more confident - I believe Congo Brazzaville will approach the game with some caution", Lima said.
But the Congolese are equally defiant - with coach Eddie Hudanski believing that securing a place in the World Cup is a turning point for his team.
"We're very proud to play in the semi-finals and we'll try to overturn the predictions and be in the final on Saturday," Hudanski said.
This is the second year that the Frenchman Hudanski has been at the helm of the young Red Devils and says reaching the semi-final is a great achievement.
"It's a result of a hard work and they deserve it - we're going to play with the same determination as usual and our qualification to the world cup will set free us mentally".
The second semi-final, between hosts Rwanda and Ivory Coast, takes place on Wednesday.
