Dynamos have secured their first win of the Champions League group phase

Zimbabwe's Dynamos have earned their first win of the group phase of the African Champions League whilst holders TP Mazembe have gone top of Group A.

Dynamos beat Entente Setif 1-0 in Harare whilst Mazembe came from behind to beat Esperance in DR Congo.

The only goal of the game in Harare came in the 30th minute and was scored by Wonder Sithole.

In a fine individual effort, he beat the Algerians' defence and struck a left-footed shot past their keeper.

The result gives Dynamos three points from three games and leaves them third in the Group A table whilst Setif are now bottom of the group with just one point so far.

In the other game in Group A, reigning champions TP Mazembe fought back from 1-0 down to beat visiting Esperance of Tunisia 2-1 in Lubumbashi.

A thrilling match saw Michael Eneramo put the visitors in front on 41 minutes - but Mazembe equalised shortly afterwards through Alain Kaluyituka.

The game looked likely to end in a draw with both sides being denied strong chances, until three minutes from the end when Ngandu Kasongo of TP Mazembe broke the deadlock.

That gave the DR Congo side the win, despite being hampered by the absence of two key players - top scorer and captain Tresor Mputu Mabi and midfielder Guy Lusadisu.

They were at the centre of the dispute which saw Mazembe thrown out of the Cecafa Cup in Rwanda earlier this year.

The club say that the pair have been suspended from international competition by football's world governing body Fifa, pending the outcome of a disciplinary hearing.
