SCOTLAND
Senegal's Diomansy Kamara scored his first goal for Celtic after his loan deal from Fulham, as he opened the scoring against Dunfermline. Celtic went on to win 4-2 to progress to the quarterfinals of the Scottish Cup.
Morocco striker Abdesallam Benjelloun was on target for Hibernian in their 5-1 victory over Montrose.
SPAIN
There was just one African goal in La Liga, which came from Mali striker Frederic Kanoute, who scored in Sevilla's 2-1 away loss to Real Zaragoza.
GERMANY
Ivory Coast's Arouna Kone clawed one back for his on-loan team Hannover 96, but they still lost 2-1 away to Hoffenheim.
HOLLAND
Ghana's Matthew Amoah helped NAC Breda to a win over Willem II
Ghana's Matthew Amoah returned to Holland with his Nations Cup silver medal to seal victory for NAC Breda, who came from behind to beat Willem II 2-1.
There was an important away win for AZ Alkmaar who beat Feyenoord 2-1, Morocco striker Mounir El Hamdaoui giving AZ Alkmaar the lead in the 28th minute.
Sierra Leone's Gibril Sankoh became the second player sent-off as his side Groningen lost a two-goal lead and were beaten 4-3 by Heracles Almelo.
BELGIUM
A last minute penalty taken by Zimbabwe's Cephas Chimedza earned St Truiden a surprise 2-1 win at Anderlecht.
Senegal defender Ibrahima Gueye put Lokeren ahead in the 20th minute as they beat Mechelen 2-1.
Dorge Kouemaha from Cameroon equalised for Club Bruges as they drew 1-1 away at Zulte-Waregem.
Algeria defender Mohamed Chakouri was sent-off on 58 minutes after receiving a second booking as his side Charleroi lost 2-1 at Kortrijk.
PORTUGAL
Cameroon midfielder Jean-Paul Yontcha pulled a goal back for Belenenses with 10 minutes remaining as they lost 3-1 to Braga.
TURKEY
Cameroon striker Herve Tum equalised for Istanbul Buyuksehir in the 68th minute but was sent-off in the 90th against Eskisehirspor who won 2-1.
Egypt midfielder Ayman Abdel Aziz put visitors Diyarbakirspor ahead in the 83rd minute but the hosts Fenerbahce scored in the last minute to earn a 1-1 draw.
