Paul LeGuen will lead Cameroon to the World Cup next year after signing a seven-month contract extension.
The French coach originally signed a five-month deal with Cameroon in July.
LeGuen helped transform the team's fortunes to secure an African record sixth World Cup finals appearance for the Indomitable Lions.
He was brought in after the Indomitable Lions' poor start to the second phase to the 2010 joint World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
After two games, Cameroon were bottom of group A with just one point.
LeGuen then won four qualifying matches in a row to earn a place at Africa's first ever World Cup.
They will also participate in January's Africa Cup of Nations finals in Angola.
