Nigeria's Sone Aluko is aiming to win the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt
Nigeria and Aberdeen striker Sone Aluko says he wants to go one better than his sister, by winning the Under-20 World Cup with the Flying Eagles.
Eniola Aluko is a star of the England women's team which finished second behind Germany in the recent European Championship in Finland.
Her brother came through the England youth set-up before being called up by Nigeria for a recent friendly.
He is now part of the Nigeria under-20 side for the tournament in Egypt.
"Just before I came out here I met up with her back home," he told the BBC's African sports programme Fast Track.
"We're very proud of her. Hopefully we go all the way and do one better than her and so I can go home with a gold medal and show her."
Nigeria kick-off their campaign on Friday in Cairo against Venezuela in Group B, before games against Spain and Tahiti.
By their own high standards, Nigeria under-performed at the African Youth Championship in Rwanda earlier this year, where they finished third.
It was a performance which resulted in the sacking of the then coach Laddan Bosso.
He was replaced by Samson Siasia, who has fashioned a squad which Aluko believes can make a real impact in Egypt.
"The talent in this team is unbelievable and if we get it right on the day I'm sure we can go all the way," he said.
"Since I've been here the team's played very well and some of the individuals are incredible."
Having previously played for English representative sides, he acknowledged the differences between the two set-ups.
"There are so many differences obviously - different culture, different country; Nigeria is a more athletic team, a more dynamic team - but England (who are also competing here in Egypt) are also a very good side."
Aluko's build-up to this tournament was disrupted by an apparent dispute between his Scottish club, Aberdeen, and the Nigerian Football Federation, but he dismissed it as "confusion in the media".
And the man who wants to beat his sister by claiming top spot here has nothing but praise for his new team-mates.
"There's a family here. They're all like brothers to me now," he said.
