Nigeria's Victor Obinna Nsofor has joined Spanish club Malaga on loan
Spanish side Malaga have completed the loan signing of Nigeria's Victor Obinna Nsofor from Italian side Inter Milan.
The 22-year-old has joined on a season-long deal after passing a medical, according to the Spanish club.
The Nigeria striker says he is excited about the move to Spain and hopes to be playing regular first team football.
"I'm looking forward to a good time here in Spain; it's a big challenge for me but am excited about it," he told BBC sport.
"I came here to prove I can be a good addition to the team, make a great impact and this is what I hope to show.
"I've got to fight hard, get in the squad and hopefully score some important goals for the club."
Obinna only joined Inter on a four-year deal in August 2008 but failed to establish himself in the first team of the Italian champions.
The striker also feared staying at Inter Milan would put his place in the Nigeria squad in jeopardy after making only nine league appearances, mainly as a substitute, last season.
"I appreciate the support of the Inter coach [Jose Mourinho] because there are several players in the squad fighting for a place," he said.
"But this is the season leading up to the World Cup and it will surely determine my place in the Nigerian team.
"I need to do well at club level and take that onto the national team.
"I need to work hard to earn my place, like others. I cannot take the spot for granted feeling comfortable sitting on the bench at a big club like Inter.
"The World Cup is next year, I need to be playing as much as I can. It's all about working hard and showing the [Nigerian] coach that I really want to be in the team."
