Angola's Primeiro de Agosto are top of Group B of the Confederation Cup
DR Congo side AS Vita grabbed their first points in Group A of the Confederation Cup after a 1-0 win over Santos of Angola.
Captain Lofo Bongelli's 11th minute strike separated the two sides in Kinshasa on Sunday.
He latched onto a loose ball before unleashing a fierce drive from 30 yards into the far corner of the Santos post.
AS Vita's win leaves the group wide open as they are level on three points with leaders Entente Setif of Algeria.
Setif play away on Sunday to Ennpi of Egypt, who are also seeking their first points of the group.
Meanwhile, Primeiro de Agosto moved to the top Group B of the Confederation Cup after a 1-0 win over Haras El Hadood on Saturday.
The Angolans won the game thanks to a first half penalty converted by striker Arsenio Love Cabungula.
Cabungula scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time after Haras defender Islam Al-Shater brought down an opponent in the box.
The win took Agosto to the summit of the group with four points after two matches, one point more than Haras.
The Egyptians, who are now second in the group, had their moments in the match, but their most influential player Ahmed Abdul-Ghani was unlucky not to convert two decent scoring chances in the first half.
The group's other game Nigerian champions Bayelsa United suffered a shock home defeat when they lost 2-1 to Stade Malien of Mali.
Bayelsa are now firmly rooted at the bottom of the group with no points while Stade Malien move to the summit level on four points with Agosto.
