Milovan Rajevac has left out Laryea Kingston but recalled Derek Boateng
Ghana will be without Laryea Kingston for two crucial world cup qualifiers in June.
The Hearts midfielder was left out of the squad by Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac.
Kingston is injured at the moment but had insisted he would be available for the second match, against Sudan on 20 June.
The Black Stars play Mali on 6 June and have a friendly match against Uganda the week before.
Ghana boss Rajevac has instead handed recalls to Derek Boateng, Yussif Chibsah and Joetex Frimpong.
Captain Stephen Appiah is also in the squad despite not having a club at the moment.
Boateng has not played for Ghana since the 2006 world cup and Frimpong is making a return after three years on the sidelines.
Rajevac will test the preparedness of his squad with a friendly against Uganda in Tamale on 31 May, the week before the first of the crunch qualifiers, against Mali.
"Both Ghana and Mali have excellent individuals and it is normal for everyone to think they are main challengers for top spot which means a place in the world cup", Rajevac told BBC Sport.
"Mali can be a key match for this qualification campaign but I think it is good for us because they need to win which is a good psychological advantage for us."
