Sunday's win gave Petro Atletico their first title in six years
Luanda's Petro Atletico sealed a record 14th Angolan league title - the GiraBola - with a 4-1 win over Desportivo Huila on Sunday.
The emphatic win put them out of reach of arch rivals Primeiro Agosto, who lost 1-0 at Primeiro Maio, with one match remaining.
The title is Petro's first in six years and ends a barren spell for a club that once dominated the league which began in 1979 after Angolan independence.
It is also a fourth title for Portuguese coach Bernardino Pedroto, who previously won three GiraBola titles in a row with AS Aviacao, between 2002 and 2004.
Petro Atletico and Primeiro Agosto will both go through to compete in next year's African Champions League.
