Petro Atletico are boosting their squad ahead of the Champions League

Kenyan league's top goalscorer Allan Wanga has joined Angola league champions Petro Atletico.

The 21-year-old moves from local side Tusker on a four-year contract for a transfer fee of US$15,000.

Wanga, who will become the first Kenyan to play in Angola, finished the just-concluded premiership with 15 goals.

He scored the lone goal that earned Tusker the title for the first time in seven years this season.

"Wanga has a bright future ahead of him," said former Tusker chief executive Patrick Naggi.

"He's joining one of the best football teams in Africa with a link to Portuguese clubs and it will only be a matter of time before he moves to play in Europe."
