Cameroon's Georges Mandjeck was sent off against Italy

Despite playing for nearly an hour with 10 men Cameroon drew 0-0 with Italy on Wednesday at the Olympic Games.

Both sides are into the last eight, where Cameroon will play Brazil and Italy face Belgium.

Cameroon's Aurlien Chedjou had a 15th minute penalty saved after Italy's Salvatore Bocchetti was ruled to have handled the ball.

Georges Mandjeck of Cameroonwas sent off for stepping on the ankle of Antonio Nocerino.

With a draw seemingly acceptable to both, neither side created many quality chances and the match got physical at times.

The crowd of 47,307 jeered both sides for a lack of apparent will and Cameroon were repeatedly whistled as they passed the ball among their back lines in the final 10 minutes.

The final whistle and stadium announcement of the final score drew another round of jeers.

In the group's other game South Korea beat Honduras 1-0.

The results mean that Italy top the group with seven points with Cameroon in second two points behind.

South Korea just missed out in fourth place with four points, while Honduras were bottom with out a single point.
