Mozambique climb rankings

Fifa's rankings show Mozambique are the top climbers
Mozambique are the biggest climbers in the latest world rankings produced by football's world governing body, Fifa.

The Mambas moved up seven places in the global list, to 71.

In the African rankings they move up one place to 14.

Ghana remain the top-ranked team on the continent, at 14th in the world.

Argentina are the world's top side.

The movements are largely technical, because fewer than 20 games have been played worldwide in the period taken into account.

Mozambique's rise is due to previous bad results counting for less in Fifa's complex ranking system.

Only the last four years are taken into account in producing the list, and games carry less weight the further they are into the past.
