Egypt international Ahmed Hassan has revealed that he will return home to play for local giants Al Ahly next season.
Hassan has now confirmed that he will be playing for the five-time African champions.
"My decision is final. I chose Al Ahly and I will be wearing their shirt next season," Hassan told BBC Sport.
"I received numerous offers from Zamalek, clubs in Europe and the Gulf but this is my final decision."
Hassan left local club Ismaili in 1998 for Turkey where he played for Kocaelispor, Denizlispor, Genclerbirligi and Besiktas.
He joined Anderlecht from Besiktas in 2005 and after spending 10 years abroad he wants to raise his children in Egypt.
"I have two children and I want to adopt them to our culture," said the midfielder.
"I am 32 now and this is the time for me to start thinking about my family more than football."
Hassan has played in six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments for Egypt.
He won his record third Nations Cup title earlier last month after being part of the 1998 and 2006 winning squads.
