 Eto'o picked up a leg injury in Sunday's Nations Cup final |
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o returned to his club side Barcelona two days late and carrying an injury sustained at the Africa Cup of Nations. Eto'o is to undergo tests after straining a muscle in his left leg during Cameroon's 1-0 loss to Egypt in the final last Sunday.
Eto'o is doubtful for Barcelona's visit to Zaragoza on Saturday.
The La Liga side has struggled for goals in the striker's absence, netting just five times in seven matches.
Eto'o set an Africa Cup of Nations goalscoring record in Ghana by scoring his 15th and 16th career goals in Cameroon's 3-0 victory over Sudan.
Barcelona are second with 48 points from 23 games and trail leaders Real Madrid by eight points.
On Wednesday, Barcelona visit Celtic in the first leg of a European Champions League second round match.
