 Caf have banned clubs from five nations |
Clubs from five nations - the Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Kenya and Chad - have been banned from continental club competition this year. The Confederation of African Football (Caf) disqualified the teams because their national federations "failed to fulfil financial obligations to the Confederation".
Renaissance of Chad and Kenya's Tusker will miss out playing in this year's Champions League.
Tourbillon of Chad will not be allowed to take part in the Confederation Cup.
The decision was made by Caf's executive committee, whose membership includes Chad.
First round, first-leg matches in both the Champions League and Confederation Cup are scheduled for 15-17 February.
