Bamfuchile undecided over Namibia
Ben Bamfuchile
Bamfuchile says he will decide on his future with Namibia after next week

Namibia coach Ben Bamfuchile says he will decide on his future with the national team in December.

The Zambian announced his resignation as coach of the 2008 Nations Cup finalists on Thursday with only 51 days to the start of the tournament in Ghana.

He cited "disrespectful and careless" behaviour by Namibia Football Association (NFA) officials and difficult working conditions as the reasons for his decision.

But after talks with officials of the NFA on Thursday night, the 47-year-old now says he will make a decision on his future with the team in 10 days' times.

Bamfuchile became an instant hero in September after Namibia snatched a 3-2 victory in Ethiopia to top a qualifying group ahead of more fancied DR Congo and Libya.

It was only the second time the country reached the finals of the biennial African football showpiece, which will be staged between 20 January and 10 February in Ghana.

Namibia, rated no-hopers after being grouped with Ghana, Morocco and Guinea, are due to play a friendly against fellow qualifiers Senegal on 13 January in Dakar.
