Frederic Kanoute will lead the line for Mali |
Mali's top stars will lead the line as they bid to secure a place in the Nations Cup finals this weekend. Coach Jean-Francois Jodar has named a full strength squad for their game against Togo on Friday.
The two sides are tied at the top of Group 9, and the winner will go to Ghana in January next year.
But if there is no winner, then Benin can claim top spot with victory over Sierra Leone.
Just to complicate things further, if Togo v Mali finishes in a draw and Benin fail to win, then Mali will go through thanks to a better head-to-head record.
Sevilla's Frederic Kanoute will lead the attack for Mali, whilst Mahamdou Diarra of Real Madrid and the Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko are expected to start in midfield.
Mali failed to qualify for the last Nations Cup finals in 2006 but were semi-finalists in 2002 and 2004.
