Bodipo joined Deportivo from rivals Alaves |
Equatorial Guinea striker Rodolfo Bodipo has returned to action after eight months out with a knee injury.
The 29-year-old played for Deportivo La Coruna in their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sevilla on Wednesday.
Sevilla booked their place in the Copa del Rey final after completing sealing a 5-0 aggregate success.
Bodipo is happy to return for the first time since tearing a cruciate ligament in September.
"I am very unhappy with the defeat but otherwise delighted to return to the field of play again," Bodipo said.
"Personally I have gone through a strange period in my life.
"I was nervous at the beginning of the match but after a few minutes it all changed."
Bodipo had not featured in a competitive game since joining Deportivo from Alaves in June as he suffered the injury during a pre-season friendly.
The Equatorial Guinea international is keen on gaining a first team place to help his struggling side.
"Now my objective is to carry on working hard to help Depor," Bodipo said.
"I believe that it is possible to improve on our standing by the end of the season."
"I'm just my grateful for all the people that helped me return."
Deportivo paid rivals Alaves US$2.5million for the Equatorial Guinea international in June.
The 29-year-old was one of the club's 16 acquisitions during the off-season.
