Bodipo joined Deportivo from rivals Alaves |
Equatorial Guinea striker Rodolfo Bodipo faces at least six to eight months on the sidelines after tearing a cruciate ligament in his right knee on Wednesday.
Bodipo, who is in his first season with the Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna, sustained the injury during a friendly with minor-league side Laracha.
"I felt a crack and huge amount of pain," Bodipo said.
"At least it is a clean break, it could have been much worse."
Deportivo paid rivals Alaves US$2.5million for the Equatorial Guinea international in June.
The 28-year-old was one of the club's 16 acquisitions during the off-season.
Deportivo are fifth on the league table, with seven points from three games.
