European champions Barcelona have confirmed they will travel to face Egyptian side Ahly in a friendly match in Cairo on 24 April. The clash between the two clubs was agreed in the Egyptian capital Cairo by the presidents of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, and president of Ahly Hassam Hamdy.
Barcelona, who are also the defending Spanish champions said they would play in the match as part of Ahly's centenary celebrations.
Ahly are the most crowned club in Egypt, having won the Egyptian League 31 times.
Barcelona met in Cairo before in a friendly in 1961 with the Spanish side scoring a 6-1 win.
