A first half brace by Yamin Selemani helped Burundi to beat Mauritania 3-1 in Bujumbura.
Selemani set the home side on their with a strike just after three minutes.
The visitors rallied and grabbed the equaliser in the 7th minute after Buha Ibrahim slotted home.
Selemani put Burundi back in front in the 30th minute, scoring from close range.
Henry Mbazumutima made the victory certain with a strike just before the break.

The reigning African champions were held to a surprise draw by the Zebras at the National Stadium in Gaborone.
Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who guided the Pharaohs to a record fifth Nations Cup title in February, fielded a mixture of local and Europe-based talent.
But despite dominating and creating most of the chances, a mix of wild finishing and bad luck denied the visitors victory.

Egypt coasted to victory in Cairo against a weak Burundi side, thanks to goals from Mohamed Zidan, Hosni Abd-Rabou and Mohamed Abou-Treika.
Zidan netted after just five minutes after linking up with Ahmed Hassan and Abd-Rabou doubled the lead after 29 minutes when his free kick was diverted and flew into the net.
Ten minutes later, Abou-Treika made it 3-0 before captain Hassan completed the rout with a trademark penalty seven minutes after halftime.
Soliman scored Burundi's consolation from the penalty spot.
