 Jacky Dugueperoux has been sacked as coach of Esperance |
Faouzi Benzarti is the new coach of Tunisian side Esperance after the dismissal of Jacky Dugueperoux on Wednesday. The Frenchman was fired after Esperance were held to a 0-0 at home by the Ivory Coast's Asec Mimosas in the African Champions League last weekend.
Benzarti is fresh from leading Esperance's rivals Etoile du Sahel to the Tunisian league title in May.
He was in charge of Esperance in 1994 when he lead them to the African Champions Cup and again in 2003 when they clinched the Tunisian league title.
The 57-year-old also won the Tunisian title in 1990 with Club Africain.
