French coach Henri Stambouli joined FAR Rabat in March

Jawad Milani has been named as the new coach of the Moroccan side FAR Rabat to replace Frenchman Henri Stambouli.

Stambouli quit on Saturday one month after the club's defeat in the final of the Confederation Cup.

FAR Rabat failed to retain the trophy after losing out to the Tunisian side Etoile Sahel.

Stambouli was criticised following the defeat which prompted his exit.

"We'll miss this experienced coach," FAR defender Mohamed Ajeddou said.

"He did some good work with the FAR and managed to help us improve."
