Guinea and their French coach Patrice Neveu have parted company after a poor start to their 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying matches. Guinea drew 0-0 at home with Algeria last month and lost 1-0 to Cape Verde in Praia a week ago, leaving the team last in Group Eight in the race to reach Ghana 2008.
"We've decided to separate from him amicably. We've already put out an appeal for candidates to replace him," said Fode Capi Camara, secretary general of the Guinean FA.
"We hope to find another trainer in the next few weeks at the latest but we have time because our next match is not due until next March."
