Otto Pfister is to remain in charge of Togo |
Togo have retained German coach Otto Pfister to lead their 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Pfister briefly walked out on his team at the World Cup finals in Germany after a pay dispute involving the players.
But the head of the Togo Football Federation TFF, Rock Gnassingbe confirmed the German will be staying on.
"We have taken that decision and Otto Pfister has no problem with it," he said.
This has been confirmed by the 68-year-old veteran coach.
"We have a verbal agreement and I am going to meet the president of the federation next week and everything will be finalised then."
He added that he will be in charge until the 2008 African Nations Cup.
The two-time Saudi Arabia coach, was appointed to the Togo post in February following the sacking of Stephen Keshi.
