Fadiga's spell at Bolton was disrupted by a heart scare |
Khalilou Fadiga's agent insists the Senegal midfielder will have no trouble in finding a new club. The 31-year-old was one of a number of players told they would not be offered new contracts at Bolton Wanderers.
Fadiga signed for Bolton in September 2004, after stints at French side Auxerre and Inter Milan in Italy.
But the start of his spell at the Reebok Stadium was disrupted by a heart scare before a game against Tottenham the following month.
He had a loan spell at Championship outfit Derby at the start of the season but returned to make 13 appearances either side of Christmas.
The 1-1 draw with Wigan in February was his final appearance for Bolton and manager Sam Allardyce has chosen not to extend his stay.
Fadiga's agent, Charles Collymore, said that the player's exit from Bolton had nothing to do with previous medical worries.
Collymore said: "I'm very optimistic about Khali's return to top-flight football as soon as possible.
"He hasn't been released for any other reason than he's come to the end of his contract so we're looking at other options.
"He hasn't been fired or sacked and he's a bit upset with the way that's been reported.
"We're working hard to try to find an alternative offer and we're optimistic about doing that over the course of the next month or so.
"He's still got an awful lot to offer. He was the captain of his national team a year ago and maybe playing for more of a footballing side might help him.
"He's fit, healthy, raring to go and looking for something new, preferably in England."
