Jeneyah is confident that Etoile will prevail against Ahly in Cairo |
The president of Tunisia's Etoile Sahel says that the second half of the Champions League final will be a totally different encounter to the drab first leg played in Sousse on Saturday.
Othman Jenayeh believes his team will perform better than they did in the goalless draw against Egyptian champions Ahly.
"Our players will do better because they are used to playing better in away matches," he told BBC Sport.
"We will give them a shock in Cairo in front of their fans. We will give them a surprise."
Yet the relatively inexperienced Etoile side will need to vary their play and be more adventurous if they hope to break down the solid Ahly defence.
Saturday's first leg was a tense and cautious affair, with most of the action concentrated in midfield and with neither side creating many scoring chances.
Etoile's young team appeared to be intimidated by Ahly's 49-match unbeaten record and spent much of the game trying to stop the Egyptians scoring rather than creating good chances themselves.
Despite this, Jenayeh believes the pressure will be on Ahly when they play in front of a capacity home crowd in Cairo's 70,000-seater Military Stadium.
Before the return leg on 12 November, Etoile must play Club Africain in a tough league match on Wednesday.
The prospect of playing a domestic fixture during this critical period has not pleased Jenayeh, who had hoped for more preparation time.
"I am disappointed that the Tunisian Football Federation refused to postpone the league game with Club Africain," he said.
"It would have given us a chance to prepare because playing so many games exhausts the players.
"But we will take the match as a warm-up for the second leg."
Etoile plan to set up a training camp for the final the week before the game but the club has not made the venue public.
