The president of Tunisia's Etoile Sahel said his club's supporters must be on their best behaviour during Saturday's opening leg of the Champions League final against Egypt's Ahly.
"I hope our fans keep calm, as Etoile is one of the big clubs in Africa," Othman Jenayeh told BBC Sport on Friday.
"I hate violence and we cannot afford to do anything that will affect the image of our club.
"When we lost to Enyimba in last year's final, nothing happened and I hope things will also be fine on this occasion."
Jenayeh said tickets for Saturday's clash in Sousse sold out on the first day of sale and they have had to cope with the unhapiness of many fans keen to attend the game.
"Our stadium cannot accept more than 25,000 fans at a time.
"If we were able to accomodate 60,000 or 70,000 fans we would have been able to sell that many tickets.
"Our fans living in Europe asked their families in Tunisia to buy tickets for them, so they could travel home and watch this game."
Should Etoile beat Ahly to lift this year's African title, they will represent Africa at December's Club World Championship in Japan.
The decisive leg of the Champions League final will be played in Cairo on 12 November.
