Group One of Africa's 2006 World Cup and Nations Cup qualifying will have a lopsided slant to it until the abandonment of Sunday's match between Mali and Togo is addressed.
The match in Bamako was abandoned when serious crowd trouble erupted following what seemed to be a Togolese matchwinner in the closing stages.
After Souleymane Mamam scored in the 90th minute to give Togo a 2-1 lead, trouble flared in the stadium and gunshots were subsequently fired in chaotic scenes as thousands tried to flee the packed 26 March stadium.
As police fired tear gas at dozens of angry fans who ran onto the field after the goal, state television cut its live transmission of events inside the 70,000-seater stadium.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Mali, for whom a defeat would have mathematically ended any hopes of qualifying for Germany 2006, had been leading through Soumaila Coulibaly's 16th-minute goal with just seven minutes to play before Mustapha Salifou drew the visitors level.
In the group games that were played on Saturday, Senegal kept up the pressure at the top of Group One with a 6-1 thrashing of Liberia in Dakar.
Khalilou Fadiga opened the scoring for Senegal through a free-kick after his Bolton Wanderers' team-mate El-Hadji Diouf was fouled by the Liberian goalkeeper Lartee Jackson.
The Teranga Lions doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Diouf converted a penalty after Mamadou Niang was brought down in the box.

France-based Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye grabbed the third goal, heading home a Diouf free-kick.
The hosts then scored three quick goals late in the second half with strikes from Henri Camara, Moussa N'Diaye and a second from Diouf.
The Liberians grabbed a consolation late in the game through Isaac Tondo.
The win gives Senegal 13 points, the same as Zambia who beat Congo 2-0 earlier in the day in the Copperbelt town of Chililabombwe.
The Chipolopolo took the lead in the third minute with a goal from Angola-based defender Elijah Tana.
The goalscorer then got the first yellow card of the match on the half-hour mark.
Collins Mbesuma, who plays for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa, doubled Zambia's lead on the stroke of half-time.
