Togo coach Stephen Keshi will name his squad for their make-or-break World Cup qualifier against Congo by Thursday.
A win in Saturday's game in Brazzaville will give the Hawks a maiden berth at the 2006 finals in Germany.
"I have been dreaming of the World Cup since I became Togo's coach," Keshi told BBC Sport on Monday.
"It will not be easy in Congo but we are determined to get a result."
Keshi will have his first training session, ahead of the World Cup qualifier, on Monday.
"Most of my players began arriving in the country on Sunday, so I am just able to organise my first training session.
"By the time I have had time to take a look at my players in training, I will be in a position to make up my mind."
The former Nigeria captain, who was at the 1994 World Cup finals with the Super Eagles, said the Hawks will only arrive in Brazzaville on Friday.
"We prefer to arrive just before the game, rather than spending days there.
"I think this approach will help our players concentrate on the task at hand and ensure we do not have to deal with problems that could stop us from achieving our objective."
But the former defender admitted he will also be keeping an eye on Nigeria's fortunes at the weekend. A win over Zimbabwe in Saturday's game in Abuja will only give the Super Eagles passage to the World Cup finals if Angola fail to beat Rwanda in Kigali.
Nigeria and Angola are level on points but the Southern Africans lead Group Four, based on their superior head-to-head record.
"I have to focus on getting my team to the World Cup finals but I hope Nigeria are able to make it. It will be a shame if they fail to qualify."
