Ghana's Sammy Kuffour could be allowed to leave Bayern Munich |
Ghana's Sammy Kuffour could be one of four players allowed to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The German club's vice-president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says he wants to cut the squad to give some of their promising youth team players more opportunities.
"We have 26 players on the roster now, that's definitely too many," Rummenigge said.
"We think a roster of 22 men is perfect."
Kuffour faces the axe as he is one of several players whose contracts run out at the end of the season.
"We invest a lot into the talents of the amateur side and then we loan the players to Bochum (another Bundesliga team).
"We can't go on like that, that's why the roster will be reduced," Rummenigge said.
