Henri Stambouli had a successful stint with Mali before Moizan took over in April |
Mali have sacked national team coach Alain Moizan after just three months in the job. It comes after a disastrous start to the Eagles 2006 World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifying campaign.
Mali, who were Nations Cup semi-finalists earlier this year, are bottom of their World Cup qualifying group having lost to Congo and Liberia and drawn with Zambia in their first three games.
Only the first-placed team qualifies for the World Cup while the top three go to the Nations Cup.
"Everyone knows that we should have been looking for nine points in the three matches and we only got one point. So, already, the results are not good enough," Malian Football Federation chief Tidiani Niambele said.
"We agreed we would bring our cooperation with Alain to an end and we've told him that." .
Moizan, who took the job in April, is a former France international who played for Monaco, Lyon and St Etienne.
He previously coached Senegalese clubs Jeanne d'Arc and Compagnie Sucriere Senegalaise.
