Nonda featured in the Uefa Champions League final |
Striker Shabani Nonda has been left out of the first DR Congo squad to be named by new coach Claude LeRoy, for the 5 June World Cup qualifier against Uganda. No reason has been given for the Monaco player's absence from the match in Group Two.
Nonda had previously made himself unavailable after criticising the running of Congolese football, but LeRoy has said he had made up with the player.
Nonda featured as a second-half substitute for Monaco in the Uefa Champions League final against FC Porto last Wednesday.
There are three European-based professionals named in the squad. Portsmouth striker Lomana LuaLua is suspended after being sent off in the African Nations Cup finals in January.
