Super Eagles lose Aghahowa
Aghahowa suffered the knee injury in training
Nigeria striker Julius Aghahowa will miss the 9 October World Cup qualifier in Gabon as a result of a knee problem.

Aghahowa, who scored one of Nigeria's goals in their 3-0 demolition of Zimbabwe earlier this month, hurt his knee while training with his Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

"I have been in touch with Aghahowa and he will not be at the game in Gabon because he is nursing a knee injury," said Nigeria manager Christian Chukwu.

There are also serious doubts over the availability of Chelsea defender Celestine Babayaro for the game, as he is also nursing an injury.

Nigeria lead Group Four with nine points from four matches while Angola are in second place with eight.
