Fecafoot president Mohammed Iya is on the appeal committee |
Cameroon has created a ten-man committee to prepare an appeal against Fifa's decision to deduct six points from their 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Fifa has also fined Cameroon US $154,000 for wearing their one-piece kit during their African Cup of Nations quarter-final against Nigeria.
The Indomitable Lions were told by Fifa that they could only wear the kit during the first round of the competition but then claimed that they could not get a replacement kit at short notice.
Cameroon football officials have vowed to fight the decision.
The ten-member committee appointed by Bidoung Mpkatt, the Minister for Youth and Sport, is headed by his technical adviser Maurice Tadjore.
It includes Mohammed Iya, president of Cameroon's football federation Fecafoot, and its secretary general Atangana Mballa.
Other members come from the sport ministry and there are also three lawyers - Akere Muna, Edmond Loe and Charles Nguini.
However one surprise omission is football ambassador Roger Milla.
The committee will get together for the first time on Tuesday when they meet with Minister Bidoung Mpkatt.
