Mubarak receives Caf leaders

Caf President Issa Hayatou has met with Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak
Egypt's president Hosni Mubarak has urged the African member's of the Fifa executive committee to support his country's 2010 World Cup bid.

The three African members, Slim Aloulou from Tunisia, Mali's Amadou Diakite and Cameroon's Issa Hayatou were all in Egypt town for Caf's executive meeting.

Joining the trio at the presidential office was the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ali El Din Hilal.

Egyptian officials say they were happy with the way the meeting between the head of the state and the trio went.

"President Mubarak hopes that the most prepared African country will be the one to host the World Cup" Hilal told the press.

Mubarak also said that his country is doing everything it can to become the first African country to host the World Cup.

Egypt has been intensifying its efforts to host the World Cup in 2010.

Last Month, Mubarak, met with Fifa president Sepp Blatter and Qatari Mohamed Ben Hammam, President of the Asian federation.

Other Fifa executive members are expected to arrive to the country over the next two weeks.

Egypt, Libya, Morocco, South Africa and Tunisia are the five African countries bidding to host the 2010 World Cup.

Fifa will announce the host country on 15 May in Zurich
