Senegal have pulled out of a friendly match against Algeria next week, citing the sacking of coach Guy Stephan as the reason for their belated withdrawal.
The Senegalese Football Federation has told its Algerian counterpart the Teranga Lions are no longer able to honour the fixture because of the vacancy at the head of Senegal's coaching structures.
Frenchman Stephan was dismissed earlier this month after Senegal failed to reach the last four of the 2004 Cup of Nations finals in February.
Algerian officials said Guinea had been invited to replace the Senegalese for the friendly in Annaba on 31 March, but this is yet to be confirmed.
The Desert Foxes had already named a full-strength squad but captain Djamel Belmadi as well as France-based players Abdelmalek Cherrad, Fodil Hadjadj and Antar Yahia have withdrawn because of injury.
