Egypt continued their preparations for next year's Nations Cup finals with a 1-0 win over Sweden in a international friendly in Cairo on Tuesday. Ahmed Bilal scored the only goal of the match in the 10th minute as the Pharaohs put on an impressive display against their European opponents.
The home side dominated the first half but failed to convert several good goalscoring opportunities that came their way.
The Swedes then took control in the second half but could not find the equaliser.
Sweden used the match as part of their build-up to the 2004 European Championship in Portugal.
