Berger take command
Nigeria's Julius Berger
Nigeria's Julius Berger are in control of the Cup Winners Cup final
Nigeria's Julius Berger are in control of the Cup Winners Cup final, after they beat Tunisia's Etoile Sahel 2-0 in the first leg in Abeokuta.

The Nigerian side took an early lead when Ndubisis Eze was on target after just seven minutes.

They doubled their lead two minutes into the second half when Endurance Idahor found the net.

The result for Berger came despite being hit heavily by injuries in the build up to the match, they had to do without four strikers on the day.

The result is yet another boost to Nigeran club football, after Enyimba made it to the final of the African Champions League last week where they will play Egypt's Ismaili.

The second leg of the Cup Winners Cup final is in Sousse, Tunisia on the 6 December.
