 Blatter says all options are on the table |
Fifa president Sepp Blatter has not ruled out any hypothesis as to which African country will host the 2010 World Cup finals. Tunisia is one of five countries bidding for the World Cup, along with Libya, Morocco, Egypt and South Africa.
Tunisia and Libya have, in addition, put in a joint bid to host football's greatest showcase.
Asked about the joint bid, Blatter told a news conference in Tunis on Wednesday that according to Fifa rules a single association is to organise the event.
But he added that nothing was ruled out for the time being.
"We must wait for the end of the Fifa inspection visits in the candidate countries," he said.
The Fifa chief was in Tunis to kick-off construction of the new headquarters for the Tunisian Football Federation.
The inspection group has already visited Morocco and South Africa and is to visit Tunisia starting on 11 December.
Libya and Egypt are to receive visits in January.
The decision as to who will stage the 2010 World Cup is to be announced in May in Zurich, Switzerland.
Blatter also said he was "impressed by the quality of Tunisia's modern sports installations."
