Enyimba reach semis
Enyimba are the Nigerian champions
Enyimba have qualified for the semi-finals
Enyimba turned in a stirring performance to march into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The Nigerians beat Egyptians Ismailia 4-2 to finish as leaders in Group A.

Enyimba now play USM Alger in the semi-finals, while Ismailia face the more difficult tie against Champions League favourites Esperance.

But the Nigerians initially looked in danger of missing out on the last four when Ismailia took the lead in the 13th minute.

Ahmed El Gamal's goal for the visitors must have stirred some nasty thoughts for the Nigerians, who were thumped 6-1 in Egypt.

Enyimba's response was positive, however, and within ten minutes goals from Ndidi Anumnu and Muri Ogunbiyi restored hope to the Aba fans.

Enyimba increased their lead though Emeka Nwanna in the 79th minute, while Mohsen Abougreisha scored a second for Ismailia with just a minute left.

Anumnu ended a fine performance for the Nigerian champions by converting a penalty in the 90th minute.

The first leg of the semi-finals will be held over the weekend of 31 October - 2 November.
