Julius Berger
Julius Berger are in the final of the Cup Winners' Cup

Julius Berger lost in Kigali but did enough to get to the final of the Cup Winners' Cup.

The Nigerians went down 2-0 to Rwandan army side APR FC, but still won the tie on aggregate.

Julius Berger are grateful to their commanding first leg performance, when they swept aside APR 3-0.

They got a real scare on the way to the final though.

APR opened the scoring after only 17 minutes through Jimmy Mulisa.

When the same man doubled the defecit just after half time, the Nigerians knew another goal would seriounsly compromise their chances.

Julius Berger's defence held firm, however, and the Nigerians were able to celebrate on the final whistle.

The first leg of the final takes place on the weekend of November 14-16, with the second leg on 5-7 December.
